David W. Young is Professor of Management, Emeritus, at Boston University's School of Management, where he served for five years as chair of the Department of Accounting, for four years as director of the Accounting MBA Program, and for three years as director of the Health Care Management Program.

For the past 32 years, he has been a lecturer in Harvard University's programs for Chiefs of Clinical Service and Leadership Development for Physicians. He lectures and teaches extensively in Europe, Latin America, China, and the Middle East.

For the past five years, Professor Young has been a visiting professor at the Forli campus of the University of Bologna, in Italy, where he spends approximately three months each year. While in Italy, he teaches in several programs, including the UniCredit MBA at Alma Web in Bologna and the Summer School on Public Management in Forli. He has lectured on healthcare management in Rome, Milan, Pisa, Venice, and Naples. In 2010, he will teach in the MBA Program at the University of Pisa.

Since 1995, he has been a principal in The Crimson Group, Inc., located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Crimson Group provides in-house executive education for healthcare organizations, focusing especially on physician managers and leaders. For details, see www.TheCrimsonGroup.org.
