Awards

In 1985, selected as a Milton Fund Fellow at Harvard Medical School.

In 2006, in recognition of his work with the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine, and its member constituencies, received the Special Recognition Award from the Association of Professors of Medicine. This award is presented annually to the non-member who has contributed the most to helping the association meet its mission of providing leadership and direction to academic internal medicine.

Nominated four times for BU's prestigious Metcalf Award for teaching excellence.

In 2003-2004 and 2004-2005, voted "Best Professor" by Cohort C of Boston University's MBA students.
